For more than a decade, the Microbiology Unit of Puerta de Hierro Majadahonda University Hospital has counted Dr. María Muñoz Algarra among its experts. With some twenty scientific publications, the expert has collaborated in clinical trials for the diagnosis and therapy of different conditions caused by viruses and bacteria.  

At the same time, she has conducted several studies on the epidemiology of rare diseases, including the new coronavirus. She obtained her PhD in Pharmacy at the Complutense University of Madrid, a center with which she maintains a close collaboration relationship.
