Advanced Integrative Medicine is a field of Health Sciences that is in full development in the most advanced countries, with a large percentage of the population using complementary or alternative forms of treatment (CAM) at least once in their lifetime: 48% in Australia, 70% in Canada, 42% in the USA, 38% in Belgium, and 75% in France.  

The momentum of this approach is motivating its inclusion in public health services in countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and the Nordic countries.
