Description

Allergology is one of the most rapidly-evolving specialties in recent years. Become one of the most in-demand professionals of today”

##IMAGE##

Allergology has seen how, in recent years, the number of people affected by the different forms of manifestation of the disease has increased notably. In the last two decades, this increasing trend has been particularly noticeable among children. And yet, very few countries have specialized services in this medical field.

This prevalence has led to allergy being considered a major health problem: according to the WHO, hundreds of millions of people suffer from rhinitis, one of the most common allergy conditions, and at least 300 million suffer from asthma. In addition to these figures, there is an enormous variety of other common and new allergies that have become commonplace in the specialist's office.

This training program has been created with the aim of providing professionals with specific training in the field of allergology to equip them with the most up-to-date knowledge in diagnosis and intervention.

In this sense, the professional must be able to offer his patients a study of their disease in which the recognition of allergens is a priority in order to work towards a lifestyle that aims to avoid symptoms and, with them, the progression of the disease.

During this training, you will learn about new lines of research and practice in allergic disease with a special interest in areas such as asthma and diagnosis by inflammatory genotypes or measurements: induced sputum, flow cytometry, measurement of cytokines and interleukins.

A comprehensive refresher program that will also allow you to incorporate Big Data and telemedicine skills. Work routines that will provide you with a new spectrum of performance and permanent growth.

Acquire the necessary knowledge to offer quality practice in the field of Allergology, providing your patients with expert and effective care”

Professional Master's Degree in Allergology

The clinical approach to the reactions of the immune system demands a series of solid diagnostic skills and, for this reason, at TECH Technological University we have created this program specialized in the factorial study of the impact of allergens on the human body. The curriculum covers, at first, atopy, immunological bases, the pathophysiology of this type of response and the repercussions of panallergens, and then focuses on the epidemiology of both respiratory, cutaneous and immunodeficiency allergic diseases, as well as the alterations caused by food, hymenoptera and pharmacological groups. It also offers contents focused on scientific findings concerning the future of this specialty in the research field of immunotherapies. Thanks to this complete theoretical-practical course, students will be able to develop the skills to carry out the appropriate interventions for each case.

Professional Master's Degree in Allergology

This postgraduate course offered by the Faculty of Medicine of TECH is an important opportunity to train comprehensively in the diagnosis and investigation of allergic diseases in the 21st century. Based on the case analysis methodology and problem-based learning, professionals will be able to handle with ease all types of medical conditions, mobilizing conceptual resources (classifications, immunological mass mechanisms) and techniques that facilitate detection (prick test, patch tests, spirometry, rhinomanometry, acoustic rhinometry, measurement of exhaled nitric oxide, among others). In addition, with the knowledge obtained throughout the 12 months, they will be able to elaborate early intervention protocols, where the most effective ways to alleviate the discomfort and reduce the risks caused by the pathologies are established, and preventive action frameworks that warn of the consequences of exposure to different environments, medicines and food. All this, then, will allow characterizing the graduate as a competent allergist, experienced in the exercise of his daily clinical practice.
