A new study by the World Health Organization estimates that approximately 10% of school-age children experience language difficulties that can have a negative impact on their education and well-being. Given this reality, it is essential that teachers are trained to recognize the signs of Speech, Language and Communication Disorders in order to apply effective strategies that promote inclusion and the development of communication in the classroom. 

In this context, TECH presents an Internship program in Speech, Language and Communication Disorders. Therefore, over the course of 3 weeks, the graduate will become part of a team of top-level specialists, with whom they will actively work on the diagnosis, evaluation and design of personalized intervention strategies for students with difficulties in Speech, Language and Communication. This practical and collaborative approach will allow the graduate to acquire advanced skills and up-to-date knowledge, applying them directly in real situations, which will guarantee a solid professional development and prepare them to face current challenges in the educational field.

General Objectives

  • Provide a specialized education based on theoretical and instrumental knowledge that will enable the student to obtain skills in detection, prevention, assessment and intervention in the logopathies treated.
  • Consolidate basic knowledge of the intervention process in the classroom and other spaces based on the latest technological advances that facilitate access to information and the curriculum for these students.
  • Update and develop specific knowledge on the characteristics of these disorders in order to refine the differential and proactive diagnosis that sets the guidelines for intervention. 
  • Raise awareness in the educational community of the need for educational inclusion and holistic intervention models with the participation of all members of the community
