Dr. Antonio Martínez Salio is a specialist in Neurology, with special interest in the Geriatric Area. He has worked for more than a decade and in a coordinated manner in clinical practice at the 12 de Octubre University Hospital, as well as in research and dissemination, having authored and co-authored more than twenty scientific articles of national and international importance.  

He based his doctoral thesis on the study of the incidence and mortality of cerebrovascular disease in the elderly, carrying out an exhaustive analysis of the population epidemiology in the NEDICES cohort. This has helped him and many other physicians to better understand the functioning of the nervous system, providing new premises for the advancement of medical science.
