Dr. Margarita Peña Fernández has been a Primary Care Specialist for more than 2 decades. During this period she has worked for various entities in Cuba, becoming Head of her Service in the clinical center Isla de la Juventud. She is a professional with a highly recommended opinion, having participated in the health promotion of tens of thousands of people throughout her career.

She has also worked as a volunteer in several programs in areas such as Zimbabwe and Angola, helping and collaborating with health care teams sent to these countries to provide assistance to the most disadvantaged. In addition, she has worked as a teacher in several university programs, for which she received an award for her demonstrated knowledge in the Medical Sciences.
