Experience

Dr. Nuria Rodriguez de Dios, has to her credit an important career as a specialist in radiation oncology. She has been able to work in prestigious hospitals such as the Hospital Parc de Salut Mar in Barcelona where she works as an Assistant Physician and to carry out various research groups, another of her areas of special dedication, as well as teaching and mentoring professionals. 

As a researcher, she chairs the Clinical Research Group in Radiation Oncology (GICOR) and has been Coordinator of the Lung Cancer Functional Unit of the Hospital Parc de Salut Mar in Barcelona and of the Lung Cancer Group of the Spanish Society of Radiation Oncology. Currently, she is the Coordinator of a multicenter trial on the prevention of neurocognitive damage in lung cancer patients receiving cranial irradiation. 

She has more than a hundred communications in national and international congresses, publications in national and international journals, she is co-author of several book chapters, four of them on Lung Cancer and more than 30 presentations in programs and conferences. Her main lines of research focus on the prevention of radiation side effects and fractionation alterations. In relation to the first point, two works have been published as a result of her doctoral thesis on prophylaxis of radioinduced esophagitis in patients with lung cancer.
