For more than two decades, Dr. Saoud Tahsin Swafiri Swafiri has been investigating the Epidemiology of Rare Genetic Diseases. He was part of the team of experts who published the most comprehensive study on Aniridia in Spain, through genomic and experimental research.  

Likewise, he has analyzed different Microphthalmic Disorders, indicating their molecular basis in numerous academic articles. With extensive skills in Clinical Biochemistry and Molecular Pathology, he is recognized in the European health field, receiving a special distinction from the Instituto de Salud Carlos III.
