Experience

Dr. Martha Barba Recreo is a veterinarian specialized in equine health management. From the beginning of her studies she showed special interest in horses, focusing on the promotion of their health once she finished her degree. To this end, she completed a diploma course in the management of large animals, which she accompanied with a rotating internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery and several residencies in the same service.  

She also has research experience, having completed a doctoral thesis in Biomedical Sciences: "Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis biovar equi infection in horses: transmission and diagnosis". In addition, among her passions is outreach through teaching, which is why, alternatively, she has directed her career towards theoretical and practical teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs.
