Dr. Julio Domenech Fernandez is a specialist in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology who combines his prestigious work as a doctor with teaching Pathology of the Locomotor System and Medical and Surgical Conditions at various renowned universities nationwide.  He has developed an outstanding and award-winning research work, in which his studies on the Neurological Origin of Idiopathic Scoliosis of the Spine in Adolescents have won awards twice by the European Spine Society.  

He is president of the Spanish Society for Research in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology and directs the Spanish Association for Research in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, where he promotes improvement projects in his field, facilitating the exchange of results between different research groups at national and international level, encouraging the collaboration of working groups within the sector.
