Dr. Jaume Catalá Mora is a Medical Specialist in Ophthalmology and Expert in Retina and Vitreous Diseases with special dedication to Pediatric Retina. He has built an outstanding career since his training in Navarra and Barcelona, becoming Coordinator of the Retinal Dystrophies Unit at the University Hospital of Bellvitge, in Barcelona, for more than 15 years.  

His work as a researcher focuses on the area of Hereditary Retinal Dystrophies and the search for new treatments for Retinoblastoma, for which he has participated in multiple national and international clinical trials, as well as in the development from the preclinical phase of the first treatment with Oncolytic Virus. He has also written numerous scientific articles, several books and monographs on different aspects of Ophthalmology.
