Dr. Álvaro Fuentes Martín has worked as a Specialist Physician in Thoracic Surgery at the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valladolid, where he has dedicated himself to the diagnosis and treatment of Complex Thoracic Diseases. As such, with a solid track record in his specialty, he has played an active role in the improvement of healthcare processes and the implementation of advanced surgical treatments.

Likewise, since his appointment as Coordinator of the Committee of Resident Interns (MIR) in the Spanish Society of Thoracic Surgery, he has been a key figure in promoting the training of future specialists in Thoracic Surgery. In addition, he has played a prominent role as Member of the National Commission for the Specialty of Thoracic Surgery at the Ministry of Health, where he has contributed to the regulation and improvement of the specialty at the national level.

An active member of the Spanish Society of Thoracic Surgery (SECT), Dr. Álvaro Fuentes Martín is committed to the advancement of Thoracic Surgery. In turn, his dedication to the specialty and his involvement in different committees and organizations have reflected his leadership skills and his commitment to excellence in patient care.
