Experience

With more than 20 years of professional experience in the field of Radiation Oncology, Rosa María Cañón Rodríguez is one of the leading specialists in this area. Her extensive skills in Optimization and Precision Techniques through Dose Modulation, Single Dose Radiosurgery, High Rate Brachytherapy (HRD) and Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT), make her a reference.

Her high quality of Management and Team Coordination led her to assume the Head of the Radiation Oncology Service of a first level hospital center, where she applies the latest technical advances in multidisciplinary treatments in Head, Neck, Lung, Breast, Digestive, Prostate and Sarcoma Tumors.

Cañón Rodríguez's clinical career has been parallel to her scientific career, with more than a dozen publications in indexed journals in the Medical Area and being the author of more than 100 communications and papers in national and international congresses. She has also dedicated part of her time to teaching in academic institutions and to literature, where in 2022 she published her work Inesperado 2020, the result of the need to contribute her experience in the humane treatment of patients during the COVID-19 crisis.
