With more than 30 years of professional experience as a Thoracic Surgeon, Dr. David Saldaña Garrido, has been trained in hospitals such as Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston or Lund Hospital in Sweden with the world's leading experts in Thoracic Surgery, such as Dr. Hermes Grillo and worked in the most prestigious hospitals in Spain, such as the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital, where he is an Assistant Physician and member of the Clinical Trials Committee.  

He has been Coordinator of Lung Transplantation at the University Hospital Ramón y Cajal, President of Neumomadrid (awarded as the best scientific society of the community of Madrid), as well as member of the main national and international scientific societies and with more than 500 publications and communications to national and international congresses, authorship of book chapters and dozens of papers. 

He completed his doctoral thesis at the University of Alcalá with the qualification of outstanding Cum Laude and has been awarded a national prize for research in surgery. He is also specialized in the treatment of lung cancer in advanced stages, minimally invasive surgery such as videothoracoscopy, sweat surgery by reversible sympathectomy, reconstruction of Pectus excavatum by surgery or silicone prosthesis, surgery of the trachea and airway, mediastinal tumors, mesothelioma and diseases of the pleura, among many other advanced procedures.
