Dr. Cristina Arribas Sánchez has dedicated her professional career to the care of the newborn with pathology. She is a specialist in the management of the premature newborn, neonatal CPR and in the approach to the protective factors of necrotizing enterocolitis in very low birth weight newborns. She has worked as a specialist in Neonatology in different hospitals in Spain and the United States.

She combines her clinical work with research, collaborating in different clinical trials such as "Definition of serum creatinine values in healthy neonates and in NICU: importance for the classification of acute kidney injury or high frequency oscillatory mechanical ventilation with high frequencies as a strategy for lung protection in respiratory distress syndrome in newborn piglets".
