D. in Biological Sciences, Jordi Clarimón is a researcher specialized in the study of genetic risk factors in neurodegenerative pathologies such as Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, neuromuscular diseases such as ALS or movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease. Thanks to this, he has made his outstanding article Genetics in Alzheimer's disease, published in the Journal of Neurology.

In his years of experience, he has participated as Principal Investigator in projects of the Genetic Unit of Neurodegenerative Diseases of Sant Pau. In addition, he has enjoyed postdoctoral stays at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda and Maryland.
