Nursing staff has benefited greatly from these advances since they have originated intervention guides and more complete procedures. In addition, the work tools have been perfected and are now adjusted to requirements such as palliative care at home and stabilization of oncology patients. However, not all professionals in this field manage to keep up with these innovations. They face the challenge of an educational field where programs with a high theoretical load are abundant and do not pay enough attention to the most recently implemented skills in this area.

That is why TECH has designed this Internship program. The program, a pioneer of its kind, allocates 3 weeks to update nurses who wish to broaden their skills in Home Hospitalization. For this purpose, students will be admitted to a renowned hospital center where they will have access to the best technological resources and will analyze, in situ, the most advanced procedures of this discipline. General Objectives

• Update the nursing professional, through the best scientific evidence, for the management of diseases and patients in the field of home hospitalization, as an effective and efficient alternative to conventional healthcare

• Provide students with advanced, in-depth, up-to-date and multidisciplinary information that allows them to comprehensively approach the process of health and illness in the home 
• Manage hospital discharges, transfers and readmissions, according to medical history and legality 
• Address psychiatric patients by managing the particularities of mental health monitoring at home 
• Manage the main symptoms and complications in post-surgical patients 
• Highlight the importance of morbidity and mortality due to multiresistant infections in complex patients with special needs 
• Explain the most common pathogenic mechanisms and neoplasms associated with advanced palliative needs  
• Study the current pathophysiological elements between non-transmissible chronic diseases and infections 
• Review basic concepts in nutrition for the hospitalized patient at home 
• Highlight the need to consider vaccination in patients with special needs in order to reduce the burden of disease 
• Provide the necessary coping skills for the managing hospitalization stress in early stages of life 
• Add knowledge about germs and measures against them at home  
• Implement different treatments according to therapeutic suitability 
• Provide training and practical theoretical improvement that will enable a reliable clinical diagnosis supported by the efficient use of diagnostic methods to indicate an effective integral treatment  
• Provide theoretical content on the latest techniques in hospital home treatment 
• Develop the concept of dignified death, nursing care and accompaniment in the last moments of life
