Dr. Julio Prudencio Díaz-Agero Álvarez is an eminence in the field of Thoracic Surgery. Throughout his prestigious professional career, he has deepened in the techniques of respiratory endoscopy and therapeutic bronchoscopy, becoming a reference in the management of these methods. He has performed more than 19,000 diagnostic explorations and more than 1,400 procedures carried out through endoscopic resections of tumors, tracheal stenosis and endoprosthesis implantation, among others. 

He is head of the Thoracic Surgery Section at La Paz Hospital and director of the Cell Therapy Group in Airway Fistulous Pathology at IdiPAZ. He combines his work in health care with dissemination as a lecturer at conferences and scientific congresses both nationally and internationally. In addition, he also teaches as an adjunct professor at various educational institutions.
