Dr. Cesáreo Álvarez Rodríguez is a Specialist in Family and Community Medicine, an expert in health promotion and Physical Education and Sports Medicine. He has research proficiency studies and is an advanced life support instructor accredited by the American Heart Association. 

He has more than 30 years of experience in public and private hospitals in Spain, working as an Internal Medical Resident, Emergency Area Physician, until he became Head of the Emergency Unit at Verín Hospital, where he has spent most of his professional career. 

Combining the assistance part with teaching and research, he has also participated in countless congresses and scientific events, written several publications and chaired various committees of working groups such as the Commission of Research and Teaching, Ethics, Clinical Histories in the same hospital where he has been working, as well as in the Spanish Society and the Galician Society of Emergency Medicine and Emergency of which he is a member.
