Experience

Dr. Manuel Mejías Estévez has dedicated his professional career to the study of Chronic Conditions and Palliative Care in the terminally ill. His theoretical contributions and scientific research in this field have enabled him to assume his current responsibility as coordinator of the Palliative Care Working Group of the Spanish Society of Primary Care Physicians. He also serves as an independent professional on the Technical Committee of the Palliative Care Strategy of the National Health System.  

For three years he held the position of Director of the Training and Research Department of the SantÁngela Institute for Chronic Illness and Palliative Care in Seville. In that and other instances, he has developed an extensive career in the Andalusian Health Service, occupying positions of various responsibilities in different medical institutions.
