Dr. Raquel Gómez Lucas is an eminence in the field of veterinary medicine due to her high degree of specialization in the area of sports medicine applied to horses. She has an extensive and varied academic and professional career, starring several rotating clinical stays in animal care centers of international prestige. In addition, she has the renowned accreditation of the illustrious American College of Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, a significant program that supports her high level as an expert in the management of injuries associated with equestrian practice. 

She also holds a PhD for the successful presentation of her thesis Systemic adaptation to physical exercise in draft horses, a work that motivated her to pursue several years of research. In addition, she has combined these activities with teaching, taking on the position of Associate and Full Professor in several university degrees and in programs such as courses and diplomas.

  • Expert in Sports Medicine in Horses at the Hospital Clínico Veterinario de la Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio. 
  • Professor of the Veterinary Degree at the Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio, teaching Equine Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine and Applied Anatomy. 
  • Professor of the Master's Degree in Equine Medicine and Surgery Internship at Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio. 
  • Responsible for the Master's Degree in Sports Medicine and Equine Surgery at Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio. 
  • Doctor in Veterinary Medicine, CEU Cardenal Herrera University.
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid.
