Dr. Ana del Paso Gallego is a journalist of the highest level who is also versed in other fields such as teaching, geopolitical analysis and communication. She is an international war reporter, pioneer in Spain, who is concerned about making the role of Spanish women in the coverage of armed conflicts visible. She based her doctoral thesis precisely on this topic, which she accompanied with the publication of dozens of articles and literary works that narrate the experience of witnesses of war and her own experiences as a journalist embedded in various parts of the world. 

In addition, she has received an impressive array of awards and honors throughout her career, among which the First Elcano Journalism Award granted by the Spanish Navy stands out, as well as the UNICEF Journalism Award for her coverage of the Gulf War in Iraq. A lifetime dedicated to communication in which teaching has also been an important part, as she has worked as a professor of several undergraduate subjects and on postgraduate programs.
