Dr. Angel Ascensiano Bajo is a Hospital Emergency Physician with extensive experience and knowledge in the care of patients with poisoning. An area in which he began to deepen once he started his research career.  

His doctoral thesis Adverse events detected in an emergency department: characteristics of prevention and economic impact was the starting point of a career that has led him to publish two books: Guía de actuación en intoxicaciones específicas and Actuación urgente ante intoxicaciones agudas: guía práctica para Servicios de Urgencia, Puntos de Atención Continuada. 

In addition, he has more than twenty articles published in scientific journals, author of 5 book chapters and regular attendee of medical congresses. At the same time, Bajo has transmitted his profound knowledge in the classrooms where he teaches medical students.
