Experience

Dr. Niki Karachaliou is Senior Medical Director within the RD-DOO Clinical Oncology division at Merck Healthcare KGaA and has been Director of the Translational Research Program at the University Hospital Quirón Dexeus in Barcelona. She has had commendable experience in renowned institutions such as the Pangea Oncology Laboratory or the Rosell Oncology Institute and her activity has focused on the search for diagnostic and therapeutic solutions to oncological pathologies.

For her academic training she traveled to other latitudes such as Greece or Athens where she completed her postgraduate studies in Medical Oncology, after this, she was accepted as a translational research fellow under the tutelage of the world renowned Oncologist and Researcher Doctor Rafael Rosell in Barcelona, Spain.

She is one of the 100 world experts in the field of Small Cell Lung Cancer, who participated in an expert meeting for this disease organized by the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. In addition, she is a regular speaker at oncology congresses and author of more than 200 articles published in prestigious international indexed journals.
