Experience

Javier Rodriguez Rodriguez is a double Doctor of Medicine, both for his degree and for having presented his thesis with honors, being, in addition, a specialist in the area of Medical Oncology. He has directed several hospital areas related to Cancer in its multiple subspecialties, being the most notorious the one related to the Gastrointestinal Tumors Area of the Medical Oncology Department of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra. 

In recent years, his interest has focused on the application of Pharmacogenetics and Pharmacokinetics to the design of therapeutic strategies in this group of tumors, as well as to clinical immunotherapy programs for solid tumors. In this last field he is principal investigator of a study with pulsed dendritic cells with autologous tumor lysate in patients with locally advanced high risk Colon Cancer and, in addition, he is co-investigator in vaccination studies after resection of liver metastases, as well as in several phase I trials with immunostimulatory antibodies in combination with bispecific antibodies.
