María del Carmen Ricart Olmos is a Doctor specialized in Internal Medicine who, throughout her health career, has shown a great interest in the Therapeutics of Infectious Diseases, a field in which she has been continuously trained during all her years of medical practice. Therefore, she has developed her tasks as an Assistant Physician in the Infectious Diseases Unit of the Hospital General Universitario de Valencia.  

Parallel to her work, she has devoted part of her time to make various scientific contributions, participating in the drafting of the Consensus Document on Age and Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection. Likewise, she has left her mark in the field of teaching, being a teacher both in training courses for medical professionals and in postgraduate programs. She has also had the opportunity to access the position of Secretary in the Society of Infectious Diseases of the Valencian Community.
