Currently, Dr. Soria leads the GAIT Project (Genetic Analysis of Idiopathic Thrombophilia), a research focused on the genomics of complex diseases, especially cardiovascular, and internationally recognized as the first study of thrombosis as a multifactorial complex. 

Dr. Soria participates in the RETROVO (Risk of Venous Thromboembolic Disease in Oncology) and SINO (Stroke in Oncology) case-control studies, to investigate the pathophysiological and genetic relationship between Cancer and venous artery and arterial thrombosis. 

He has collaborated with the companies Gendiag.exe and Ferrer inCode to design the Thrombo inCode (TiC) diagnostic chip. TiC is a patented DNA chip that incorporates an algorithm that provides physicians with an estimate of the risk of thromboembolic disease in patients, taking into account clinical and genetic data. This chip is marketed in Europe and the United States and is successfully used to improve the estimation of the risk of thrombosis in cancer patients.
