Rafael Baena is a professional handball player with an extensive sporting career, having played in clubs of great international level such as Rhein Neckar-Löwen, Ademar León or US Créteil HB. 

Among his most important recognitions and titles are 2 Bundesligas, a runner-up in the ASOBAL league and a silver medal in the European Championship in Poland 2016, obtained with the Spanish Handball National Team. 

In addition, he is a renowned teacher and researcher in the area of Sports Sciences, a discipline in which he holds a PhD.
