Introduction to the Program

Through this Internship program, you will design highly personalized treatments for the comprehensive management of Malignant Ocular Tumors”

According to a recent report by the World Health Organization, Intraocular Tumors represent a significant issue in Ophthalmic Oncology. Among the most prevalent conditions are Uveal Melanoma and Retinoblastoma. These conditions require specialized management to optimize visual function and reduce mortality. Therefore, specialists need to stay at the forefront of the latest innovations in surgery and targeted therapies to provide highly personalized treatments.

With this in mind, TECH presents an innovative Internship program in Ophthalmic Oncology. Graduates of this program will complete a 120-hour practical residency at a leading institution in this field. Over the course of three weeks, the graduate will become part of a team of top-level specialists, working actively in diagnostic evaluations, therapeutic planning, and follow-up of patients with Intraocular or Periocular Tumors. During this immersive experience, they will develop advanced clinical and surgical skills, including techniques for ocular biopsy, radiotherapy treatment, and management of systemic therapies. Additionally, they will acquire expertise in using specialized imaging technologies for the detection and monitoring of Oncological Lesions.

It is worth noting that throughout this immersive experience, graduates will have access to a personal tutor who will provide ongoing technical guidance and clinical support. This ensures that participants can resolve doubts in real-time, receive constructive feedback, and consolidate their competencies in a real, high-complexity environment. This approach guarantees that graduates will be fully equipped to face the clinical challenges of Ophthalmic Oncology with confidence and professional excellence.
