Enrique Ruiz Alfonso is a reference in the field of Infant Cardiac Surgery. In particular, he has achieved a high mastery of extracorporeal surgical procedures in neonates. Currently, he is working with 3D replicas of the heart to perform more detailed and safer interventions.  

In addition, he has undergone training at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. For several years, he has been in charge of the Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery Section at the Maternal and Child Hospital of Malaga.
