Dr. Irma Gómez Castañeda has been a Veterinarian and Zootechnician for more than twenty years. She is specialized in Ethology, Animal Welfare, Dog and Cat Medicine, Psychological First Aid, Forensic Veterinary, Criminology and Neurology, among others.

After an outstanding and extensive career in countries such as Mexico, Argentina and Spain, she has reached prestigious positions such as President of the World Network of Veterinary Specialists in Animal Welfare or General Director of the Animal Welfare Institute of Puebla in Mexico, for which she received an Innovation Award for its creation. 

She is one of the five veterinarians in Mexico with double simultaneous recertification, granted by the Council for Certification in Veterinary Medicine (CONCERVET), as well as an international lecturer and author of several articles, chapters and books.
