In recent years, top athletes have been using Hyperbaric Medicine to treat their injuries and achieve a much more effective recovery. This led to greater visibility of this therapy, which, however, has multiple benefits such as vasoconstriction, fibroblastic stimulation, increased cellular immune activity or decreased oxidative stress, which allow its application in different types of pathologies and patients.

This is how this Internship program was created, a unique opportunity for the professional to become part, for 120 hours, of a team versed in therapeutic oxygenation through atmospheric pressure chambers. Thanks to this, you will be able to update your knowledge in the application of this technique, working with patients with different pathologies: deafness, ulcers, thermal burns, skin grafts, etc. In addition, you will be updated on the recommended guidelines for each case, with special emphasis on those in which treatment is not considered due to their clinical characteristics.

This is a unique experience, in which the graduate will have access to the most innovative and precise technology, and in which they will be able to actively participate in the management of patients. All this accompanied by a team of experts in Hyperbaric Medicine that will ensure, on the one hand, that they can get the most out of the program and, on the other hand, that all the objectives for which it was designed are met. That way, the physiotherapist will be able to complete the stay and face the work environment with the security and guarantee of knowing in detail the novelties of HBOT.

Internship program in Hyperbaric Medicine

Among the latest advances in the health sector is the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), which allows the application of high atmospheric pressure to the body to treat diseases such as diabetic foot, sudden deafness, chronic wounds and thermal injuries, among others. The development of the techniques present in this clinical branch and its excellent therapeutic results highlight this specialty as one of the fastest growing implementations in global health, which requires specific knowledge on the part of health personnel. In view of this scenario, TECH Global University has developed an internship program in Hyperbaric Medicine as an excellent opportunity for qualification in the area. The program includes a wide repertoire of essential contents, including the types of hyperbaric chambers, their technical and therapeutic safety and the effects of oxygen therapy on blood pressure. In turn, you will study the indications, contraindications, patterns of use and timing of hyperbaric oxygenation, as well as its usefulness in defining, evaluating and determining the diagnostic approach in chronic patients of neuropathic, musculoskeletal, oncologic and visceral origin.

Get trained in hyperbaric medicine

Numerous studies have shown that the application of high atmospheric pressure to the body and the consequent increase in the bloodstream, can become widely beneficial in treating certain pathologies. Being such a relevant field for today's healthcare sector, it requires extensive training in the area. Therefore, in this three-week TECH program, distributed in eight-hour days from Monday to Friday, you will find the necessary tools to become an expert.
