His professional career spans numerous prestigious hospitals, including the Gregorio Marañón University Hospital and the 12 de Octubre University Hospital. 

His extensive professional career has led him to perform a wide range of surgeries, including cardiac transplants in adults and infants, mitral and aortic valve repair surgery and congenital heart disease surgery. His research focus is precisely on the surgical treatment of congenital heart disease in its entire spectrum, covering neonatal, pediatric and adult surgery in this specialty.
