An extensive career of more than two decades dedicated to the field of science has allowed Dr. Maria Cristina Caballero Velarde to specialize in the area of Pediatrics and Intensive Care. Thus, she has become Head of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Centro Medico Nacional 20 de Noviembre.

Her work and contribution to the pediatric field has been highlighted on numerous occasions, being the co-founder of the Mexican Association of Pediatric Intensive Care, as well as the President of the Research Ethics and Bioethics Committees of the Hospital Angeles Metropolitano.
